The ERA BRITISH STANDARD rim latch.This lock will cover you for any insurance requirements required and conforms to BRITISH STANDARD requirements, it is a strong lock and operates with a key from inside and outside, the latch is thrown out further when the door is closed and has a deadlatching action. This lock can be mastered or keyed alike and if required can be passed to a cylinder deadlock on the same key.

The INGERSOL SC71

Comes in a satin chrome, chrome plated or polished brass. Supplied with 3 keys. We can key alike or master key. Unlimited differs. This mechanism uses a 10 pin cylinder. Supplied with a solid box staple with reinforcing peg. Suitable for inward and outward opening doors. Deadbolt is automatically thrown when door closes and withdrawn by pull lever or key outside. Handle is locked by extra turn of the key from outside. Bolt can be held back by turn snib on side of case.

These locks cover the BRITISH STANDARD rim locks normally fitted by our company to front doors of buildings. Now come the BRITISH STANDARD deadlocks, there is a vast range of deadlocks on the market, if fitted with any of the British Standard rim locks above, there is no need to fit an expensive lock lower down the door.

WE RECOMMEND THAT NEW FITS (RIM LOCKS) ARE FITTED 1/3 DOWN FROM TOP OF THE DOOR AND (DEAD LOCKS) 1/3 UP FROM BOTTOM OF DOOR...AND...NEVER FIT IF POSSIBLE A DEAD LOCK IN A MORTICE AND TENON JOINT.

Then there are the basic night latches for your front door or flat door to be used with a good BRITISH STANDARD DEADLOCKThese locks are ideal for closing the door but have minimal security.

The YALE 89 or 88 night latch is a very good latch for using to close the door, it is basic lock and should be used with a secure deadlock.

Any lock is only as good as the door and frame it is being fitted on, if the frame is weak or the door flimsy no lock is going to be secure. Always have this in mind when fitting any lock.
