What is Mastering and Passing of Locks?A Master suite is when there is one key which will open all locks made up to a suite, for instance the owner of a building needs to have access to 3 rooms and 3 offices, his key (Grand Master) will open all of these locks. He has a partner who needs access just to the 3 flats, his key (Master) will open these 3 rooms. Another partner needs access to 3 offices, his key will open only these 3 rooms, but, each room and office has its own individual key which will only open one door. A pass key is 1 key will open every lock, for instance you may have a home with a front door with 2 locks, a side door and 2 back doors with 1 lock each and lets say a front gate and garage, One key (Pass key) will open all of these locks, this is for convenience and ease.
