The Chubb 3R35 Mortice 5 detainer Dead Locking Door Latch has been used in a lot of locations where there is high traffic and a good level of security is required. Using the key on the outside allows the opening of the lock, from the inside you would use a handle, there is special furniture available for this. On the inside handle at the top is a snip that allows you to hold back the latch if so required. Just above the main latch there is a dead locking snip that when the door is closed the snip gets depressed into the body of the lock and dead locks the main latch. These locks can be mastered, also be mastered to the 3K70 3G110 locks. These Chubb locks an also be keyed alike with other Chubb locks.
